A balanced mix of beach, snorkeling, and shopping ports — the most-sailed Caribbean route from Florida homeports.
Why it works: Three port days, two sea days, and a private-island stop on most lines. Each port has tendered or pier-side options for swimming, shopping, or excursions, so families and first-timers can pick the day they want and skip the rest.
Atlantic hurricane season runs June 1 through November 30, with peak activity in August and September. The southern Caribbean (Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao) is largely outside the hurricane belt and safer year-round.
January through March offers the best combination of dry weather, comfortable temperatures, and manageable crowds. December is also excellent but pricier due to holidays.
Cruise lines monitor forecasts closely and will reroute or cancel sailings if a hurricane threatens. Booking travel insurance and refundable rates is strongly recommended from June through October.
