Italy · Ships call at Venice, Italy
Since 2021, ships over 25,000 tons can’t sail past St. Mark’s, so most cruises from Venice board at Porto Marghera or the Fusina terminal on the mainland. Small luxury ships still use the old Marittima terminal near Piazzale Roma. Your cruise documents name the terminal, and some lines sell “Venice” cruises that actually leave from Trieste or Ravenna.
Ships leave from Porto Marghera, Fusina or Marittima, whichever your cruise documents name. Marittima is at Fabbricato 248 near Piazzale Roma; Fusina is at Via Moranzani 79 on the mainland. (Sources: Cruise Deals Tips and Tricks, Art Visit Guide)
